Things I learned this weekend include:
- I’m not as big a person as I think I am.
- Diet Coke can be drunk in the morning without any serious reprocussions, especially in large cities. Awesome.
- Malls apparently are set up to keep you there. For Hours. Who knew this?
Not pushing anyone
Mostly puttering around the house today and doing little finishing jobs on the boyz room. Check out Scott’s post for pictures.
Running Log2 miles 27 minutes
pushing both boyz in chariot
(approx 50 extra pounds..plus chariot)
I haven’t been documenting my running,(except at cool runnings I love them, they do all the math) I’m not sure why, I’ve a plan worked out where a friend watches Moo Tuesdays and then Legolas and I only have Wah and Capt. Crankypants to push in the chairiot, and Saturday Scott watches the boys but Thursday is the hard day of pushing them both.
I’m still working on that plan, and obviously they are heavy, I mean my pace is 13:36 for two miles…course it’s mostly uphill, except for the downhill part.
Anywho, I wrote a book in the comment section over at Complete running yesterday, you should read that it is more less ponderous and more bossy.
So I was over at my Vox account and I discovered that you can upload movies without using YouTube or any such device, this goes the same for pictures and audio. So I promptly uploaded a video of the baby for you to watch..if you want to pop over.
Vox really is an awesome deal, I should post there more. But I’m happy and settled here at Turtledash domain, until such time as my old host explodes and takes my site with it, and like any good Taurus, I hate change. And changing to Vox…would be a big deal.
So there you have it.
Here are three of the fat quarters I dyed. And let me tell you (because you aren’t married to me and haven’t heard me going on and on and on and on about it since Sunday) new hobby alert! I can wait a few months till Wah is a bit older but I’m so excited to dye my own fabrics. I figure by this summer, my sewing room will be up and running, I’ll be able to dye outside while the kids nap (attention Wah now naps…halle-freakin-lujah). I’m so pysched.
Here is Wah in a long sleeve onesie I dyed as well…(insert gratuitis baby pic). Did I mention loving the dyeing??
Please note the turtle Robeez shoes. I love them, with a love that is really very silly indeed.
I’ve been editing my archives, and am currently in January of 2005, Two years ago! When Mr. Moo was Wah’s age…crazy. Also apparently I used to be funny. What’s up with that.
My host service will be ending my hosting…service..a.hem at the end of the billing cycle..lovely so each day I’ll be backing up my posts to make sure we are all good at the end of the billing cycle..hopefully we will be.
Overcoming my fear and moving along, I’ve recently become obsessed with building a tree house for the boys. And not just any tree house…this tree house
Okay, I’m not going to make this one, but I love it! And I want to re create it for Moo. I spent much of my adolescence creating minature scenes. I created a flickr set here, of all things treehouse like that I love. Wood carving is my next great adventure.
Thanks to Vicki for pointing me in the direction of some really awesome learning sites. I mean come on! How cute are these?
As if I haven’t got enough going on, I spent Sunday learning to dye fabrics…um totally addicted now. The good news is I have friends who have the dyes and the places (away from my babes) to do the dyeing and hopefully they will keep inviting me over. Even better news is now that the boyz room is done I can start moving my stuff into my sewing room and setting up projects again! Maybe I’ll finish a UFO or two..and I have tons of ideas for hand dyed quilts!
In other news the baby has decided that tissues, are De-licious.and has been on a search and digest quest all day. He especially enjoys the ones with the chewy center….ugh.
2miles 23 minutes
It’s done! The room. Of ongoing construction and grief. Done.
Unbelievable as it is to us, after two years. TWO YEARS. I’ll have a space of my own again. While Moo lanquished in what will soon be my sewing room. MY SEWING ROOM! A room currently known as the ‘bed’ room cuz it is one big bed…we’re creative like that..
The Man nailed the final moldings into place …
The baby (seen here with the chair…I love this chair. Oh how ridiculous it is. But true. It is the most comfortable rocking chair ever. Gross and beat up and old but I love it. I’m trying to work up to re upholstering it..but I dont’ know if my skills extend that far) played in the alcove while we finished up the room.
After he drug himself from his bed Moo checked out the new digs..
and proclaimed it good..
He’s not sleeping in there yet, since the room does still lack a door. But who cares? Their clothes and train tables and toys are all leaving our room and headed to theirs! And my sewing stuff is coming out of the basement and headed to the light of day again!
There was much joy and laying on the
Oh and I went for a run. Good for me.
Let me just pause in the midst of beating my head against the computer to say…
Thanks for all the help tips re: my site, to give you a more clear picture of whats going on (in a nutshell..and as best as I understand it)
Due to lack of information, many of you are giving me helpful browser tips, which I agree with and are helpful, however I don’t have a browser problem, I AM NOT AN ALCHOLIC!, what I have is that my old host has refused to cancel my account and so both my new host and my old host technically own my domain, so the sites are sort of fighting it out in cyberspace as to what will show up.
It’s annoying and my old host’s “support” (and I use that word more than loosely)are super unhelpful in my MULTIPLE attempts to cancel my service and move. Marilyn and my husband have spent countless hours listening to me whine, and mocking the old host to make me feel better. They have also done their best to help me fix the problem.
We have even discussed cancelling our credit card (drastic) to just make the whole thing go away.
So while I’m not that techno savvy myself, my techno savvy support staff are hard at work trying to keep me from losing my mind.
Again, thanks to everyone who has taken the time to email me and offer suggestions, I probably should have just come out and said what the problem was to avoid the confusion..but I hate looking stupid and I don’t have the computer lingo down.
*resumes beating head on the computer.
It’s possible that I spent three hours tonight updating my blog and trying to figure out some html stuff when I was supposed to be paying the bills.
But I will never admit it…..
I’m sure you will be shocked to hear (unless you are Marilyn because I’ve been whining to her and my husband for four months now) that I’m having host problems. Still.
If there was counseling available for amateur web designers and their hosts, this would be time in the process where the therapist told us that she believed we should break up. irreconcilable differences.
And I would agree but my partner/host just won’t let me go and it is screwing up my life/websites. It’s a crucial juncture because with the Heart and Sole run a month away it is important that my website GIVE THE CORRECT INFORMATION!
And that it would be great if what is my website looks like on my computer, would show up on the web.
IN the meantime I just have to redirect everyone to the active.com site. Awesome. And our contact at the City, just left her position…no one loves me. It’s so obvious.
Anyway posting may slow down, or it may not…I’m like that, while I mess with that because I hate to loose all my posts like I did IN NOVEMBER!! HELLO THREE MONTHS AGO.
Corrently though I’m all backed up…..and hoping for a Miracle, not do save this relationship..because it is over, my host just needs to come to terms with that, but more a Miracle that this is resolved before the run….not likely. But still.
The time to back up your blog (because who knows what is going on with your old host, but it is going on I tell you) Is not while your ten month old plays on the keyboard with a pen even if it does keep him from screaming while you back up your blog…for future reference.
