BRRRRRRR! Somebody turned off the heat! While Mr. Moo is sadly mourning the loss of the undivided attention of his East Coast relatives, I’m freezing my rear off. I tried to get The Man to build a fire this morning (not that I can’t build a fire, because I can. Just that I’m LAZY. Which is totally different from incompetent…just so we’re clear), he of course just looked at me like I was crazy. Apparently he is not cold.

Thing have been crazy since we returned. First and foremost, while we were gone Silly Lily escaped our new fence and visited with some of the neighbors for several hours. And she brought home a few friends with her (isn’t she sweet). The hopping and bopping, jumping and bumping, creepy crawly type friends... THANKS LILY!

They made a home in her crate, and with The Man working ten hour days it took him two days to notice her new friends, who by that time had moved right in to our abode and written to their families to “come on over !!” as well.

A long and bloody story short. He bombed the house. Three times. And then took several showers and slept outside.

Fast Forward two days. The Moo and I arrive home to a house asunder. We spent our first day at home washing and cleaning and cleaning and washing. And then…we washed some more. Until quite suddenly. The power went out. FOR HOURS. Several hours. A tree fell on one the wires up the road. So that put an end to washing and cleaning for awhile.

Poor Moo went from the freedom of running on the beach to the nightmare of his co-sleeper. He cried, he stormed, he yelled “Mamamamamamamamam!!!!” but to no avail. He was trapped in his playpen until late last night when we reclaimed the family room.

So thanks everyone for missing me. I’ll be the one with the mop in the corner…..
