Since I don’t use a lot of real names here I thought I would put up this Who’s Who…..email me at terrapintextiles@gmail.com and let me know if I’ve talked about someone you don’t see here so that I can remedy that! (I’ll be putting this on my header in the future)

  • Aunt Janelle-my younger sister

  • The Burrow-our home. It’s a love/hate thing. Our house is cold in the winter, hot in the summer and leaks most of the time. It comes completely without heat, air conditioning or any commonsense on the part of the ‘builder’ a word we use to loosely describe the act of putting our house together (a feat accomplished by previous owners using mostly gum, paper clips and some moldy duct tape.) It is in a beautiful neighborhood on the road my husband grew up on, in the town we both spent our childhoods. We love our home and hope it burns down soon

  • Capt. Crankypants-Legolas’s son, he was recently diagnosed with severe milk allergy and is much less cranky these days although he does claim sole ownership of Moo’s polar express train. Much to Wah’s displeasure.

  • Dashers- Since 2004 I’ve held a half marathon (13.1 miles) at my home in October called the Turtledash. About two years ago some of us started training together, pretty much you can find one of The Dashers running at some point during the week, its has become a very informal running group. The majority of us usually meet up at least once a weekend for a run.

  • Grandma - Scott’s mom, she lives next door.
  • Grandma Rain- My mom.
  • Grandpa - Scott’s dad, he lives next door (with grandma).
  • -Jonah-our dog, used to belong to S-Dog and SweetPea then came to live with us in the country, he is the best dog ever and is unbelievable with the boys

  • Lady J-currently we run, quilt, and lunch together, we met at work five years ago and cemented our friendship over our MSW program and a certain brand of Krazee

  • Legolas-fellow Close2uBaby Mama, playgroup pal, running pal, call on the phone and chat on email at least once every hour pal.

  • Lily- our female dog, because we have never actually gotten a dog on our own Lily falls into the Burrow’s tradition of …she just showed up and licked our kid and now she lives here…she’s a barky barky dog and since Jonah doesn’t realize that he is the man of the house, or a dog for that matter she usually has to take over.

  • Lunch Buddy we worked together for years before I got knocked up, then we met for lunch until she got knocked up…now we walk together…and talk..there is no end to the talking

  • Lunch Buddy’s Baby..um duh

  • MadQuilter Mel-college roommate, quilting buddy, best est bud, all around gal

  • Massage Friend (MF) running buddy, who just graduated from massage school and now we have to pay her! The nerve. We want free massages!!

  • Miami Mama-also known as Toddlerheaven to her blog friends, playgroup buddy, and mom to charlie and lola
  • Missy E-Lady J’s darling daughter born May 2007

  • Mister Wah-My youngest son

  • Moo-My oldest son.

  • Motorbutt (MB) playgroup pal, running buddy (kicks my patootie)

  • MsQ-Legolas’s old daughter, head of playgroup and Queen of Everything.

  • Natalia- The only original Madquilter still in driving distance. Randomly knows Legolas from camp when they were younger (my worlds collide!)

  • Neighbor Girl-A neighbor girl who comes once a week fro three hours to watch the boys while I quilt, watch Gilmore girls and eat my weight in oreos.

  • Pixie Potter-Once upon a time I was best friends with her mom, then I was her nanny, then she was my little Mama’s helper. I’ve always had a soft spot for Pixie and we miss her now that she is all grown up and in high school.

  • Poppop-my dad

  • Ren-my youngest sister

  • Ru- daughter of Sweet Pea, and S-Dog, one of the happiest kids on earth
  • S.I.T-quilt group I belong to that is a branch of the local quilt guild. Funny women who teach me something ever month

  • Super Mom-former playgroup pal (all those kids are in school now) I’m not even kidding or being mean when I say she is the consummate mother, I just stand close to her hoping her aura will rub off on me

  • Speedy-running friend of Lady J,she pushes me to a limit in running I don’t always like…

  • Sweet Pea-first mommy friend, she got me through those first fuzzy months of mother hood, married to S-Dog, mother of Ru, and Zoom Zoom.

  • S-Dog-I met this awesome dude through work, and we completed our MSW together, minutes apart, he introduced me to his beautiful (looking and in spirit) wife who got me through a lot of hard new mommy daze. Also, randomly, his brother is married to one of my old crew mates

  • The Cat-her name is Frac as in Fric and Frac which was the name of our other cat till we brought home our second son and Fric said…NO WAY, I’m outty. She went to find a house with better food, more sun and less tail pulling. Frac stayed on and is subjected to all types of torture but stays on for reasons unknown to us.

  • The Man-my beloved, also know as Scott,or that really tall guy. I’m not super worried about his identity..he can take care of himself.
  • TurboMarz-I met her in my MSW program we both got knocked up and gave birth during are program, we explored running with baby strollers together.

  • Uncle Dick-actually his name and not based in anyway on how we feel about him (Scott’s uncle by blood). He likes to fish.

  • Uncle Steve- Son of Uncle Dick. Cousin of Scott. He has a truck! We love trucks.
  • Winky-TurboMarz’s daughter born April, 2004 on my birthday. (Her name is based on a mispronunciation by Moo and not because she is a house elf.)

  • Zoom Zoom-son of Sweet pea and S-Dog born July 2007
