This weekend I drove all over Washington State in pursuit of small pieces of fabric. Crazy? Maybe. Fun? Totally.
The 2008 Western Washington Shop Hop was great! I loved the fabric and this year with the aid of The Quilting Accountant’s BRAND! NEW! CAR! complete with GPS tracking we were able to switch gears in Port Angeles without getting lost! And of course the big news was that I found the Amy Schmiller fabric I was looking for in Poulsbo.
Gorgeous! I was so happy. I may have inappropriately hugged several other people in the store, but only one of them required medical attention. Which I’m almost sure had nothing to do with me.
There was lots of excitement about the fabric this year and lots of the shops had done really cool projects with the fabric. I saw aprons, quilts, and lots of bags. Bags! Ideas!
Lots of projects to try, once I finish up my to do list this week.
I the meantime I spent most of today refreshing Woodmouse’s Etsy site hoping someone else bought all her toys so that I don’t have to list my kids on Ebay in order to buy everything thing she has listed. Especially not these Little Red Riding Hood toys that totally match the fabric I bought on the shop hop. Serendipitous? I think so.
And did you see the rainbow turtle..oy. On second thought maybe I won’t sell the kids on Ebay after all who would I claim I’m buying these toys for? and also Scott might get a tad peeved.
