Giving myself a brief reprieve from the list (oh the list!) of things to do in the next two weeks I whipped up this bag this weekend. Meet Sierra, the snail of course.
I needed a messenger type bag for my travels in the crunchy car. The back of the chariot carries the boys backpacks filled with snacks and diapers and occasionally the front wheel depending on where we were headed, leaving little room for the bag full of Mama’s stuff.
This handy dandy bag is roomy enough for the odd grocery we pick up, more diapers, snack and Mama’s wallet (generally empty..sniff). And the Amy Schimler, much sought after (by me) fiesta snail fabric lining keeps everything happy.
Plus it’s cute. I’ve used a ton of this fabulous corduroy that Robin gifted me with this fall, I’ve integrated it into several projects but this was the first full of the delicious precut squares. Do you like the side pants pocket pocket? Me too!
Back to the list now…

In completely unrelated news…
Dear neighbors..take care of your dog, she hates being tied up outside all day. I know because all she does is bark all day long…please look into it before I run out of ear plugs and Tylenol..
thanks.

The bag is perfect; it just shouts your name.
Ooh, that bag is so cute! I love the fabrics you chose.
I LOVE that bag! Love it! I’m cracking up because you say “I whipped it up.” That would take me forever to sew. If you ever decide to sell something like that let me know.
i love snails
Very nice! That snail fabric is adorable. Your corduroy bag has a nice “back-to-school” vibe. Especially since I don’t actually have to GO back to school…
