I spent yesterday riding trains with my sons and my father, we took a short trip to the next train stop (30 minutes away) and back the boys loved it. They loved Peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches in the train station and they didn’t even mind the 1hr and 45 minute delay of our return train.
I didn’t mind it much either, because today as we head out to San Francisco, I already miss them. I already miss the hectic morning madness of “I want Waffles!!” “and milk!” and “no Brudder, Mine!” and “For pete’s sake put your underwear on already!!”
I feel that grown up times are important to for both my marriage and for my boys self esteem..but they are still hard on this Mama.
It’s moments like these that I’m so grateful for my piece of the blogosphere, that I can cling to and review those little moments of our lives and that I have let a little record of those lives for them to look at too.

So, I know that ‘wife’ and ‘mom’ are huge parts of your identity, but I’m hoping some of this grown up time is for the rest of Brit, too.
