Legolas and I ran our five miles on Saturday…and that’s all I have to say about that.
This morning I was up at 4am, I picked up supermom at 4:30 am and by 5am we were walking the candle lit route at our community’s Relay for Life event. It was a last minute effort on our part, our Hair Salon (Hello Hair Dresser!) has a team and needed a few slots filled, they also do locks of love which is why I chose them this spring when I had my hair chopped off.
This is what A SuperMom and A Running Stitch look like at 6am after one hour of walking in a circle lit by paper bags full of candles burning in memory of loved ones and with hope for others.

(it was Clown themed, and yes I stole the hat from my son)
When I rolled into the driveway at 6:30am I had that sense of accomplishment at all the things I had accomplished before many other were even up today.
But the ability to drag my rear out of bed at o’dark thirty and walk in a circle was nothing to the accomplishment I felt when I pulled into the driveway at 6:30pm after a long day of family reunion ing and fired up the computer to see my Lee’s Heart Fund thermometer has crept slowly over $200!! That means I’m ten percent of the way to my goal of $2000.
You guys rock! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. No donation is too small, the three dollar, five dollar ones mean just as much to me (because I know how hard those can be) as the $50 dollar ones.
Thank you to Kelli, and Marilyn for sending readers my way. And a big thank you to Tipper, who I didn’t even ask to send readers my way.
A special thank you to Stefani, for this beautiful post she wrote about Lee, who she has never met. Thank you Stefani, for summing it up for me better than I could ever hope to.
Thanks to each of you who showed up here for the first time this weekend, and to the contributor from Australia (wow! thanks) and also I tried to reply to your email but it came back to me. So thank you! Very much.
My fund raiser will be running through October 3rd, keep spreading the word that you helped someone have heart.
Thank you from the bottom of mine.
