Last Sunday’s sewing meet up with my quilter group allowed me some insider information on our current Group Project.
Each year there is a project, one year it was aprons, one year place mats, last year is it was a seasonal mini quilt. They used to draw names in January and then you had till the November meeting to work on something for the person whose name you drew. Until Me.
Yeah, I’m the youngest by over 15 years in this group and they had to change the rules (to a random drawing) because I could never remember the name of the woman I had drawn in January.
Embarrassing much?
This year’s project is perfect for me, and my addled brain. It’s a round robin. One of my favorite projects! And I’ll get it back in November so I don’t have to remember ANYTHING!
What a relief.
Hey what’s your name?
Anyway, the rules were you had to have some sort of structure and then you had to ‘frame’ your block so that it looks like a landscape. I am drawn to the nightlife. I like to boogie. Or whatever. Maybe I just like stars and moons. And owls.
Do you see Murray?
This is what my block looked like on Sunday. In a few weeks at our February meeting I’ll get to see it again. Stay tuned!

Oh, Brit, I love it! That’s going to cause all sorts of sparks of inspiration to fly.
Very cool! Hi Murray!
This is a wonderful starting block – I love that you included your curvy tree and Murray. I can’t wait to see what it turns into.
